The new year has come around and I thought it would be the perfect day to start my new hiking adventures. I headed to Mount Tamborine to suss out the walking tracks, but unfortunately the circumstances just weren’t quite right for me to get any good photos.
To make up for it, I thought I’d post some of the photos I took when I visited Springbrook National Park in September last year. Although I thought Lamington National Park was a more dense and lush rainforest, Springbrook has a variety of interesting tracks and I found myself enjoying the hike a little more. The Twin Falls circuit was particularly fun, with boulders, a small cave and waterfalls within the first section of the track. Jesse and I didn’t have time to complete the whole circuit (because I wanted to visit Natural Bridge before we went home), so I’m looking forward to going back there to complete the track.
Natural Bridge was also a very pretty location, although the popularity of it has led to rubbish being left within the park. This really upsets me and I hope that in the future people take more care to respect the grounds and the animals within it.
All in all, I’m feeling very excited for the year ahead. My European trip kicks off in April and I can’t wait to take some wonderful photos while I’m there!
