The Colosseum is a must-see attraction in Rome. Built almost 2000 years ago, this amazing structure has stood the test of time. The scale of the Colosseum is impressive, although small if you compare it to the movie Gladiator!
I recommend putting time aside to explore both the Colosseum and the Roman Forum, as there is a lot of ground to cover. Just be prepared with a good set of walking shoes… when I visited with my fiancé we got hopelessly lost and couldn’t find the exit! Luckily the staff at the information centre were happy to help and directed us to where we needed to go.
Overall, it was a great day and a nice warm up for our exploration of the ruins in Greece!
